Tom Brady to play against the Panthers in NFL Preseason game
Tom Brady was suspended by the NFL because of his involvement in the Deflategate scandal. Though Brady was banned for four games in the regular season, it doesn’t mean that he couldn’t play in the preseason.
According to CSNNE report, Tom Brady will play in the Patriots’ preseason game against the Carolina Panthers. Bill Belichick is quite about the option of playing Brady. Moreover, it is not clear if Brady will start or Jimmy Garropollo.
Garoppolo started in the first two games for the Patriots. Garropolo, absolutely, will be the starter of the Patriots in the first four games in which Brady is banned.
Brady has yet to play in the preseason. Since he became the starter in the 2001 season, there has been just one preseason in which he hasn’t played a game, in 2008.
Brady will serve a four-game suspension to begin the regular season as the team turns to Garoppolo as its starter. This will mark the first season since 2001 that a quarterback other than Brady starts the regular-season opener for the Patriots.
