Astros meet Mariners on Tuesday’s MLB

The Houston Astros take on the Seattle Mariners in one of the MLB games on Tuesday, start time at 8:10 PM ET, at Minute Maid Park.

For Tuesday’s game, the Mariners will be starting right-hander Taijuan Walker. Over 15 starts and a 4-6 record this year, Walker has posted a 3.29 ERA with a 1.12 WHIP in 82 innings. On Thursday against the Orioles, Walker posted a win with 6.1 innings, four hits and one earned.

It’s pretty easy to find the stars in the Mariners’ order. Robinson Cano leads all batters with 103 hits, 59 runs, 19 homers and 54 RBI. Nelson Cruz is up there as well on 86 hits with 50 runs, 21 homers and 56 RBI. Kyle Seager has put up 85 hits with 50 runs, 16 homers and 54 RBI. Seager managed two hits and a run on Monday.

Bearded lefty Dallas Keuchel will take the start for the Astros on Tuesday. In 17 starts and a 5-9 record this year, Keuchel has contributed a 5.13 ERA with a 1.42 WHIP in 107 innings. On Wednesday in a quality start against the Angels, Keuchel allowed three earned in six innings on six hits.

Houston has a nice collection of potent hitters atop their order. Jose Altuve has hit 115 times with 62 runs, 14 homers and 49 RBI. George Springer has 88 hits with 61 runs, 18 homers and 50 RBI. Carlos Correa is sitting on 79 hits with 40 runs, 13 homers and 51 RBI. Correa came up empty 0-for-3 on Monday.
